We engage people and their communities by making a donation for each product sold to local non-profits addressing community needs.
We have a 5 step system to start accomplishing our goals.
The United States is facing the worst food crisis since 2008 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and rising cost of living. In July 2022, about 12% of American households reported struggling to get enough to eat, according to the Census Bureau. This means millions of families and their children face food insecurity daily in the United States. In parts of Texas, 1 out of every 4 children experiences food insecurity, per recent studies from the Central Texas Food Bank.
Local food pantries have struggled to keep up with demand since 2020 after 20 million jobs were lost. Today’s inflation layered another significant increase in demand for food pantries. Food prices are at the highest in decades and the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture projects all food prices to increase. While inflation is driving the rise in demand from food pantries, it is also causing fewer donations. Food banks and the communities they serve need our support more than ever.
MEET OUR PARTNER
We have partnered with Minnies Food Pantry in Dallas to make sure our donations go the extra mile. Minnie's is an amazing non-government-funded organization that has fed millions of meals to people in need.
Together we donate meals for each candle purchased. We have partnered with Minnie’s Food Pantry which serves healthy meals to people across three states. They provide numerous programs that help families work towards long-term food security. Their ultimate goal is to break the generational curse of people, especially children, in low-income areas not having access to healthy foods. Help us reach our giving goal to donate 20,000 meals in 2023.
We believe our business should use its resources to take exceptional care of people - our employees, customers, suppliers, and community members. We help communities come together to help those most in need, starting with people struggling to put food on the table for their families.
Thanks to your support we have donated over 15,000 meals to Minnies Food Pantry in Dallas. We wouldn't have been able to accomplish this without your enthusiasm for our mission and our products helping others.
